Ever want to edit a PDF that has a bunch of typos or just want to change some info? Then deskUNPDF is a great program for you. deskUNPDF will take that troublesome PDF and allow you to convert it into an editable format.
deskUNPDF is extremely easy to use and offers a wide selection of formats to convert into so you may edit any PDF. All you need to do is press open find the PDF you wish to convert select it then select the desired format and press convert. Ever wish you could monitor your sleeping habits to see just how good or bad you are actually sleeping? Then Dream Recorder 2 is for you. With Dream Recorder 2 and your iSight you can easily begin to monitor your sleep habits.
Dream Recorder 2 uses your iSight which may be an external one or the one built into all newer Macs. Using your iSight and some filtering Dream Recorder 2 can record you while you sleep. You need to place the iSight within 3 feet and make sure it is pointed at your upper body. Dream Recorder 2 then determines your sleep states by the movements it detects.
Dream Recorder 2 has the ability to play a sound or song somewhere in a specified timeframe which spans about an hour. So say you want to be up at 9am then you would set the range from 8-9am and Dream Recorder 2 will then determine the best time in that frame to play the sound or song to wake you up. It does this by determining the best point in your sleep cycle to wake you.
Dream Recorder 2 displays your sleep activity in a well presented graph. Your dream periods are lit up with a spot light. Dream Recorder 2 will also if you choose when you are dreaming play a sound so you can tell what your dreaming about and it will be recorded for you to playback at your convenience.
Overall Dream Recorder 2 is a great program. It does though have a minor drawback is that it is limited by your iSight and relies heavily upon correct positioning of the camera. While these are not directly the fault of Dream Recorder 2 it does affect it a bit as most people will not want to get a better iSight or other camera to use for this sole purpose. So you want to create a convienent way to store all your important files or have a simple way to share files with friends but not sure how? DropDMG will be of great use for you as it will allow you to creat your very own dmg file by simply dragging and dropping the file or folder onto DropDMG and it works its magic.
DropDMG can be used to fulfill many different needs. One of which is the possibility of making creating backups quite a bit easier. Simply drag the desired folder onto DropDMG and it will compress and create a dmg file for you which is significantly smaller than the files by themselves. I took a folder that get info said was about 4GB and tossed it into DropDMG and when it was finished the dmg file was only a bit over 1.5GB saving around 2.5GB of space which makes a folder that I could not previously save to my flash drive fit.
DropDMG can also encrypt the file or folder you wish to create a dmg out of and protect it by a password of your choosing. Another thing DropDMG can be used for is to bundle up your software for easy distribution to your customers.
Overall DropDMG is an extremely powerful and useful program that will even allow you to make multiple images at a time or even segment imagess to a specified size to fit onto multiple CDs or DVDs. Need a great backup solution? Then Personal Backup X5 is for you. Personal Backup X5 has been completely overhauled. With its new graphical user interface Personal Backup X5 looks and feels a whole lot better than its predecessor.
Making a bootable backup of your startup volume could not be easier. All you need to do is select bootable backup select the source which, is typically your Mac HD then your destination which would be your external hard drive. Then you just press start and off it goes. The initial backup will take a great deal longer than subsequent backups. My initial backup took almost 8hrs as I had set to repair permissions and repair my destination volume after the backup finished to ensure a reliable backup. My subsequent backups take less than an hour. I highly recommend the bootable backup as if something goes real wrong then you can still bootup and do your best to recover the system without having to take a trip to the Apple store to have them fix it.
