The Review:
The EyeTV Hybrid is a nice addition to your Mac if you want to watch TV using your computer. It is easy to setup and start watching TV shortly after plugging the unit into an available USB port. The EyeTV Hybrid draws its power from the USB port so there is no need for any external power source.
All you need to do is attach your cable line to the EyeTV and then plug it in to your computer. The software should load right up and you should be able to be watching TV in no time. The EyeTV Hybrid works as it should and easily lets you record your favorite shows and edit out the unwanted commercials.
There is however a small drawback which is if your TV subscription is satellite or digital cable where you need to go through a receiver you can still use the EyeTV Hybrid. Though you will only be able to watch whatever show you are tuned into with the receiver and can only change channels using the controller for your receiver. But if you are wanting to record your favorite show all you have to do is tune in and when it starts hit record and you can walk away and come back when it is over and end the recording.
