Stuffit Deluxe 11 is absolutely a must have piece of software for OS X. Stuffit Deluxe 11 can handle all of your archiving needs. You can create an archive of a file with a simple right click and select the type of archive you want to create from the Stuffit submenu.
In a quick test to check the compression and speed I started with an 957.1MB folder and ended up with a 778.5MB .sitx archive in 11 minutes. Which saves 178.6MB on my hard drive. The folder contained many different file formats and in the end they are all slimmed down into a nice .sitx archive file.The archive manager is a nice feature as it helps you keep track of all your archived files.
To test the photo compression I took a 1.4MB .jpg file and compressed it into a 1MB file which may not seem like much but due to Stuffit Deluxe 11’s patent-pending technology it is the first archiving program able to compress image files with no quality loss.
Overall Stuffit Deluxe 11 performs exceptionally and can create or decompress archives in a flash. Stuffit Deluxe 11 integrates extremely well with OS X after install you will have an icon in the dock as well as access via a right click and access through an icon up by your clock.
